Had an amazing New Year experience. Loved the free parking that the hotel provided and the friendly customer service provided by the staff. the location is perfect, close to a range of shops and amenities. the free entertainment system and the variety of video games kept us entertained throughout our entire stay.
The only downside to the hotel is that it can be quite noisy at night with the traffic outside. the beds were slightly uncomfortable and the rooms were quite small.

The owher had to book us into another hotel, once 1 of his rooms went offline. This was much appreciated.

We absolutely loved the facilities and breakfast at this place - it had everything we needed for our holiday, and the kitchen was a great bonus; it's the perfect spot for exploring the area.

Decent accomodation for the price. Bedroom was comfortable and clean. Bathroom was clean. Location was good. It's not in the cbd, but was still walkable (about 15 minutes) Close to the water where there was a nice jogging path.
Kitchen seemed a little messy, but we as we only stayed one night, we didn't use it so I can't fully comment.

We really enjoyed the balcony, it was good. It was a COOL place to stay in Nelson. We can recommend the hotel and its staff.

My wife and I are not backpackers. But this was one of the few places in Nelson that did not seek to exploit those attending the Rugby World Cup by over inflating its prices. We had a double room with en-suite shower, Basic, but very clean and comfortable. The hotel is within easy walk of the city centre and the staff were extremely friendly, even giving us a lift to the far side of town on our first night, much appreciated. Gool value accommodation and if you are not a packpacker then you must bear in mind that it is not a standard hotel.

We had a great stay at this hotel! The room was spacious enough for the two of us, as we had booked a private room. We appreciated having our own sink in the room. The cleanliness of the hotel was impressive. The staff were friendly and helpful. The location was excellent, being right near the beach and also close to the industrial port.
Can honestly say there wasn't anything not to like.

Accomodation above a very noisy bar - not quiet until 12.30am!!! Not really acceptable for $80. Double bed was very small for 2 adults.

Convenient location by the water, good value for money.
Dirty communal areas and bathrooms, terrible smell in the fridge, outdated fire extinguisher, and overall uncleanliness. The facilities were clearly not well-maintained and the carpet and lino in dire need of cleaning or replacement.

close to Nelson city and beach.
Trouble with turning the shower on to get hot water as the handle was not working properly

We stayed one night (Sat). Obviously a choice for young singles or groups. Next to a fish and chip shop which is very handy. The room we had was basic but clean with a wash basin in the room and an ensuite which was what we had requested..The double bed and bunk beds filled the room. The young people were generally polite. We were warned that it would be noisy till midnight but we were hardly disturbed..
A car is needed to make a trip to the main part of the city and not enough parking spaces at the hostel carpark.
